North Korea and Iran are probably thinking the same thing. SURVIVE!

North Korea says sanctions push after nuclear test "laughable"

From a story located at:

A more entertaining and enhanced Podcast version of this Blog can be found HERE

My comment:
Going by today's comments you would think this is a very easy thing to fix. Of course, the haters and blamers think it's Obama's fault. Wouldn’t it be nice if a Republican supported Obama on anything? Just think how different things would be if Republicans hadn't obstructed everything, lied about everything and generally created discontent among the American people. Trump probably would not exist.

One bright guy thinks we should nuke 'em. He apparently doesn't care if we kill South Koreans and Chinese in the process. Nuclear fallout travels pretty far. I doubt the Chinese will like burying their citizens.

This isn't a problem we can solve by ourselves. I doubt Americans wants to sacrifice American troops in a ground war. A couple months of body bags will get old real soon. Besides, where will the money come from? China might intervene, pull the rug from under our debt, throw the country into a depression and take away the welfare from all of Trumps toothless supporters. Not a good outcome.

I don't have an answer, do you? If Russia and China don't do something, then we know who our real
enemies are. If Walmart doesn't stop supporting Chinese manufacturing, providing the money to arm North Korea, then we have only ourselves to blame. Walmart is as bad for America as China and Russia are. China has us by the short hairs and we are pretty limited in what we can do.

Think about it. All we do is complain about Obama, tell lies about Hillary, shop at Walmart giving money to China so they can arm North Korea and contemplate electing a complete jackass and amateur to solve our problems with North Korea. We reap what we sow.

In the end, North Korea will not get rid of their nukes because they know they are safe from us as long as they have those things. It's another legacy from G.W. Bush. Iran has learned the lesson as well. No nuclear weapons, total destruction.

Nuclear weapons provide protection from being annihilated by America. Are you surprised the Iranian's have learned that lesson? Not as stupid as you thought they were, right? North Korea is proof. Develop nuclear weapons and you are safe from American Republicans. If only there were some way for Americans to protect themselves from Republicans in this country.

Republicans, and especially Trump, are threatening to kill a couple hundred thousand Iranians. Iran looks at the lesson taught to them by Bush. No nukes mean death; nukes provide safety from America. There is a possibility a killer is about to be elected in the coming US elections. North Korea and Iran are probably thinking the same thing. SURVIVE!

Allies: N. Korea, China, Walmart

Just speculation. No proof. Idle thoughts.

A Podcast of this article can be found HERE

North Korea could start an incident before we have chosen a new President. That could turn out to be very sticky regardless who the next president is. Do me a favor and don't respond with any of your childish comments about the weaknesses or strengths of either candidate. Name calling won't help this situation at all.

Watching how things are turning out, it's very possible the world will have to do something about N. Korea, soon. I just hope the United States doesn't have to go it alone. What about China? Will they sit back and let America take out the N. Korean government? China didn’t sit back during the Korean war in the past. Will they intervene? It is possible China is a match for our military in that part of the world.

Taking out North Korea’s leader needs to be done before he does something stupid. Many of our allies in the region are becoming more and more at risk with each passing month. How many American lives are we willing to spend protecting the emergence of dictators like those in the Philippines? Do we really care what happens to Japan? What about South Korea?

Nuclear weapons can neutralize 28,000 US troops in Korea, in a hurry. Do we really care if China takes over all of Asia? Other than providing cheap labor for profiteers in America, how important is that region of the world to us, anyway?

Should we tell Japan to take care of themselves? If there is a nuclear exchange involving China, North Korea and Japan one day, the only damage to America would be the contamination of our crops and waterways. No big deal, right?

Will G.W. Bush's pre-emptive policy make sense now? Should we wait for the nuking of Seoul before we do anything? What if a nuclear blast kills thousands of US soldiers stationed in the Korean DMZ? Should we continue to have confidence N. Korea is harmless? It's just big talk on their part, right?

Should the United States seriously consider war with North Korea and by default, war with China? Who do we want for our next President? A rank amateur with a big mouth or someone with experience and good judgement? Ask yourselves, if Trump were in charge during the Cuban Missile Crises, do you think we would be here today? If, then, else questions like that are always fun.

N. Korea is on course to massively increase their nuclear strength. They may be capable of placing a warhead on their missiles, soon. In a few years, or even now, the United States is at risk. North Korea hasn’t been developing nuclear technology and missile delivery systems on their own. If you look carefully at their missile systems, they have a strange resemblance to Russian and Chinese missile systems.

They have been conducting submarine launched missile tests which doesn’t require an ICBM to hit US cities. The US has no defense against submarine launched missiles. Nothing full proof anyway. We can thank China, who pretends to be our friend, for this threat to our nation. I will bet North Korea’s submarine launched missile system is similar to what the Chines use. Has anyone figured out China is not our friend, yet?

Can we trust N. Korea to be responsible like Russia and China? You do know, don’t you, Russia and China can kill a couple hundred million Americans as we speak, right now? Does Mutual Assured Destruction (MAD) apply to a rogue nation like North Korea? If you have a relative living on the West Coast, are you willing to bet their lives North Korea will do nothing and there is nothing to fear?

Do we trust the leader of North Korea to be harmless over the next 20 years? He will be in power for at least that long if we don't do something. He will continue to get more nuclear capabilities if he is left on his own with no intervention. China and Russia will continue to improve his weapons systems because in the end, they are not friends of the United States.

Walmart continues to profit from cheap Chinese labor. Walmart helps develop Chinese manufacturing which in turn finances military aid to North Korea. If N. Korea nukes one of our cities, is it really Walmart's and China's fault? We already know China is no friend of America. If a US city is nuked by North Korea, will America finally realize, Walmart is as much of an enemy, as China is?

Regardless of who becomes the president, he/she will need a lot of support. Name calling and lies will not help. What do you think? With the people of our nation turning against each other, have "We the People" neutralized our nation and turned ourselves into a bunch of sniveling complainers’, incapable of wiping our own ass, let alone deal with international threats like North Korea?

Whose fault is that anyway? I’m a Democrat, so you already know who I think is to blame. To me, much of our nation’s division focuses on how we should continue as a nation. One side thinks our Constitutional form of government is good. The other side thinks “States Rights” is the way to go.

One side believes in Federalism and the other side believes the old “Confederacy” should be our model. You know, “States Rights”. Can you figure out which form of government is best for the people of our nation? Which form of government would be the strongest in future confrontations with Korea and especially China? Would a North America made up of fifty individual nations all going their own way be better than a United States of America?

Questions, questions, questions! You must be asking yourself, “what’s the matter with that guy”? This is what happens when somebody retires and thinks about things other than chasing women, getting drunk or staying quiet because if he speaks up too much, he could get fired.

Really dumb questions, don’t you think? Or are they?

North Korea, Trumpsters and Wal-Mart. It’s getting tough out there!

Silly Observations. Does anything make sense anymore?

A Podcast of this article can be found at: PODCAST

I was reading an article about North Korea and Kim Jong-un. The story basically stated North Korea might deploy hit squads to kill North Korean defectors who left their wonderful country. It shows the differences in cultures. It also demonstrates a problem the world has and will not address.

I had a wife who didn’t want to live with me anymore. I told myself, “ok, that’s fine”. I then helped pack her bags, opened the door and escorted her out to her car. Never saw that girl again. It never entered my mind, since she left me, I should hunt her down and kill her. I told myself, “if she didn’t want to be with me, it’s her loss, not mine”.

Apparently, North Koreans think it’s alright to hunt down your wife and kill her
because she left you. Culturally, they don’t realize they are better off getting rid of the malcontent than forcing them to stay. I know! I’m simple minded. Do I have too much common sense? In the end, I just think the little wife did me a favor when she left. Who wants to be around someone if they don’t like you?

So naturally all the comments following the story, focused on calling Kim Jong-un as many names as they could dream up. Have you ever noticed? There must be five Republicans for every Democrat trolling the internet. Whenever you see a comment on a story, having nothing to do with the subject matter or is filled with only name calling, you can bet it’s a Republican.

So, I chimed in with my “two cents” worth. As usual, I was an unwelcome participant in the conversation. Next to my name there is a small icon of Hillary Clinton. Boy, oh boy! It didn’t matter what I had to say about North Korea and Kim Jong-un, I became the target because all the Republicans thought of me as a Democrat and a Hillary supporter.

There were dozens of comments, about how I was a liberal in love with Hillary and how I must be one of those “Libtards”. Any conversation about Kim Jong-un was ended. It turned into a name calling contest among the Trump supporters to see who could call me the most vulgar names. The more I answered them, the more enraged they got.

Nevertheless, I tried to stick to the subject of the news story. So, I wrote the following:

I don't know about his "fat" or his "hat". Maybe he just has a "fat hat". Aside from all that, I am curious why the world is letting N. Korea go full steam ahead developing nukes and the means to deliver them. Sanctions mean nothing when Russia and China keep are providing him weapons and technology.

Just in case people haven't noticed, all of N. Korea's weapons are Russian and Chinese made. N. Korea doesn't make their own weapons. They don't have a manufacturing base able to build anything?

I especially love going to the store and having a hard time finding anything made in America. Wal-Mart is a Chinese outlet store. It seems N. Korea is an outlet store for Russian and Chinese weapons.

Maybe I'm just stupid. Ya" think? With regards to China. American consumers make Chinese dictators rich. They in turn, use their money, provided by Americans and give weapons to a country threatening America and its allies with nuclear destruction. In a little while, they will be able to go through with their threats. It’s just a matter of time.

As for you stupid Republicans, don’t just pop another beer and blame Obama. The solution to this problem is bigger than your next six pack. It’s going to take someone bigger than your "blowhard" to fix this problem without getting a lot of Americans killed.

Some future President will have to decide if she (ha, ha) wants continued cheap Chinese sunglasses or does she (ha, ha) want a bunch of dead Americans. China will have to decide if they want to continue to sell cheap sunglasses at Walmart or do they prefer a lot of dead Americans? Wal-Mart will have to decide if they support Americans who are not dead or do they support Chinese dictators who are helping someone to kill us.

Ok! There! I just solved this problem. I invite you to go with me down to Wal-Mart, buy a couple six packs of beer, get drunk and blame our government because Wal-Mart wants to use Chinese coolie labor to help kill all of us. Blaming the wrong people for this problem seems to be an American skill, ever since G.W. Bush.

Maybe I'm just stupid. Ya" think?

It’s just a matter of time. It’s coming. Prepare to shed tears.

Amanpour: This isn't about 'our way of life'
From a story located at:
by: By Christiane Amanpour, CNN Chief International Correspondent

Regarding the murders in Nice, France.

Amanpour quoted a French politician as saying,

“Perhaps the most profound reality check came today from French Senator Nathalie Goulet, vice chair of the Foreign Affairs Committee.

She told me "the message of the day is no-one can prevent this. No state of emergency, no police, no special powers."

She said France has done everything it can, thrown as much law enforcement and as many emergency measures at the crisis, and yet it's happened again. She says there is no more secure city than Nice, as both the mayor and the president of the regional council have stepped it up massively with surveillance cameras, facial recognition technology, police -- the works. In Goulet's words, "we are already at maximum security, what more can we do?"

What more can we do? The unthinkable is just around the corner.

Then Amanpour went on to write,

“I do not believe this is about terrorists attacking "our way of life, our values, our freedoms," which Western leaders say as they vow to continue the fight against terrorism. While they lash out at us, they kill many more of their own. This is war by a totalitarian movement that wants to dominate Muslims and anyone else. Surely they have to be defeated; surely it's now or never; surely an offensive equal to the threat must be mounted”?

“Surely an offensive equal to the threat must be mounted”? She is entertaining the idea being spoken of, by the more militant sectors of Western society. Unable to stop senseless murder of civilians in Western Cities, genocide of the Arab world is a distinct possibility.

In American politics, I wouldn’t be surprised to hear Donald Trump threaten genocide if an American city suffers a million deaths. I would venture to say millions of Americans would be in favor of a massive nuclear strike on the Muslim world if America is attacked. Many Americans are in favor of the genocide of Muslims.

Before you accuse me of wanting genocide, hear me out. We are witnessing a movement emanating out of the Muslim world that will eventually kill millions. Right now, their capabilities are limited and they can only kill small numbers in any single atrocity.

However, it should be pretty evident there are Muslim elements working very hard on ways to kill more in the Western world. Unless there is a change of heart by Muslims, they will succeed in killing millions. It is only a matter of time.

When the day comes a terrorist attack wipes out an entire city, killing a million innocent people at one time, genocide will not seem out of the question. If it is proven ISIS is responsible, there is no guarantee Putin will hold back if a Russian city suffers a million or more casualties.

It’s just a matter of time when a city like Paris is obliterated and several million Frenchmen are killed. France will most assuredly entertain the idea of genocide against the Arab world.

During the Cold War, America and Russia were prepared to commit genocide with their nuclear weapons. Mutual Assured Destruction (MAD) prevented the destruction of the human race. It may be necessary for the Muslim world to understand what MAD is all about. If the Muslim world kills millions, they may need to suffer the same.

As long as the terrorist attacks are small in size, the Western world will continue to handle the problem with kid gloves. It won’t be until something really big happens when Westerners take their gloves off and Muslims discover how ruthless Western powers can be.

However, make no mistake about the consequences of relentless murder. The kind of terror attacks we are witnessing today and the potential for much worse in the future will cause the genocide of the Muslim world.

It’s just a matter of time. It’s coming. Prepare to shed tears.

Incidentally, I do not advocate genocide. I just think it is inevitable.

Infantry Never Brags: Fear Silences You forever

‘We Were Soldiers’ legend’s record
under review for unearned awards, report says

Inspirational story located at:

My self-serving comment:
I served in the Nam'. Got a couple medals. The only one I “earned” (maybe) was a Purple heart. No one gets a Purple Heart on purpose. As for the others, I never understood why I got them. I was at the wrong place at the wrong time.

Like a cockroach, escaping from someone’s foot, my survival instinct allows me to write this comment today. By pure luck, I darted and dashed in the right direction. They gave me medals for that. It never made any sense.

When a guy died, we made up stories of his deeds and awarded medals he didn't earn in a futile effort to make his parents feel better. I’ll never forget a kid who was sleeping when one of our mortar rounds fired from the center of our perimeter, “hang fired”.

The round came up short, exploded in the treetops above our position and a single piece of shrapnel pierced his back and punctured his heart. Later that night, I sat with my squad in a circle and we all held hands. It wasn't a prayer. We all discovered prayers meant nothing in that place.

The sadness was so deep among us. I know tears rolled down my cheek in the night. No one could see, so I just trembled and cried. I think we were feeling sorry for ourselves because of the random way in which the kid died. There was no defense from something like that. None of it made any sense.

The others were like me. No one said a word, sitting in the pitch dark, each of us alone with his thoughts.  We were alone in our grief and we were silent. I don’t remember anyone talking about the event later on. I write about this experience for the first time in my life. It just now came back into my memory.

I recommended the Silver Star for the kid. I made up a story about how he sacrificed for all of us. None of it was true. He was killed by our own people, in his sleep, for nothing. Many of us in the Infantry, developed the thousand meter stare after just a short time in country. The futility, depression and horror made you feel small and vulnerable.

Somewhere in America the kids picture is hanging on a wall along with the Silver Star. I hope it helped his survivors. None of that helped the dead kid. I'll bet whenever a loved one sees his picture on the wall, they ask, "what was that about"? I hope Lyndon Johnson is burning in Hell.

I hope when G.W. Bush dies, he burns in hell. If you were with my squad, in the night, holding hands and crying, you would know what I'm talking about. However, over the years, I have found nobody understands and nobody cares. That's why I spend nights alone in the dark, with just my thoughts. Always alone. Nobody knows. Nobody cares. No one listens, forty seven years later.

I hate when a memory like that comes back after being hidden for so long. I will think about that moment a dozen times a day until the memory just fades away again, hopefully to never come back. My long walks are very lonely these days.

I have always found that people who brag about their medals, are just making up stories. Braggarts never do all the things they claim. Most of the time, when someone does something to earn a medal for valor, they become very quiet about their deeds. The thing that never leaves you is the fear.

All the rest of your life, you remember how afraid you were. All your remaining days, you know what a coward you really are. Knowing this, you don't ever want to speak of such things again. Anyone, experiencing that kind of fear, is so humbled by the knowledge, they just go silent. Have you noticed? Those few people who have experienced full infantry combat, speak little of their ordeal.

I ignore false bravado because I know how afraid those who died felt, when they took their final breath. My fears were small and insignificant compared to those who lost everything. They will always be silent about their deeds. Silence is how I honor them.

Starting another arms race with Russia is really dumb!

You guys are a lot worse than me!
Russia will act to neutralize U.S. missile shield threat - Putin

Inspirational story comes from:

My comment:
I wish all you tough guys would knock it off. Starting another arms buildup doesn't help anyone. While we spend ten times more money on defense than Russia, they can still incinerate every man, woman and child in America. Man alive. Knock it off!
Using Iran as an excuse for employing missiles capable of intercepting Russia's missiles, on their border, is bogus at best. Of course Russia feels threatened. What we did in Iraq has shown Russia what we are like. You know! War for no reason. Bush's folly will affect people's perceptions of the United States for many more decades.
America's credibility has been further eroded because we bragged about our error and never apologized for all those innocent people we killed. Any moral high ground we held in the past has been destroyed by Bush and his Republican buddies. Kidnapping, rendering, torture, murder and half a million innocent people shot and blown to bits all because of a lie. When America talks all high and mighty, people just snicker.
When we complain about Crimea, Putin looks at us and says, "shut up you murdering braggarts, you guys are ten times worse than me". We are not moral people anymore in the eyes of the world. Thank you Mr. Bush. Heck of a job!
You would feel threatened if Russia deployed a similar system in Canada, Mexico or Cuba. You tough guys are far too much like Putin. You would be threatening everyone if Russia did that. Jeeze! Can you imagine Donald Trump in that situation? Scary thought, don’t you think?
Iran listens to big talking Republicans in the United States and notices people with a big military, threatening them. They also notice village idiots have a chance of getting absolute power in the US. They look at Afghanistan and Iraq and say, "Holy crap! We need to defend ourselves". Pretty much the same thing Russia says. North Korea too. Throw in China for good measure. Trump’s threats are making people jittery. The United States has a recent history of doing stupid things.
With the prospect of Donald Trump and our recent history of killing half a million people for nothing, it would make anyone nervous. It makes me nervous and I live here.
There is a solid prospect, warmongering Republican tough guys will take over our nation and some philandering failed businessman, who inherited a lot money, will have his finger on the nuclear button. Wow! What a prospect.
When it comes to nuclear weapons and American Republicans, I'm just as nervous as Russia. At least Russia can defend themselves. Can you imagine what Iran feels like watching our election process? I bet their hardliners are saying, “hurry up and build the bomb before American Republicans attack us.” It kept North Korea safe. It can do the same for us.

You can’t get some pansy, bleeding heart Democrat to do the job.

Inside Top-Secret Drone Operation Against IS

This story inspired my comment:

My comment:
There are a lot of moral arguments being made on today's comments. Good stuff. Thoughtful comments, in fact.

I think all of us wonder about the wisdom of this technology. Especially, since this technology is just the beginning. Science fiction has depicted this kind of technology going out of control. In just 10 to 15 years, with advances, science fiction can become reality. Hopefully, there will be wise men/women in the future able to draw the line when needed. But, don’t count on it.

Right now, because the technology is in its infant stage, a lot of innocent people are being killed. I'm not trying to blame anyone. It's easy to play a video game and wipe everyone out. Lots of fun. It's also easy to understand a remote pilot having second thoughts after he realizes he killed a bunch of children.

Perhaps we need to hire only Donald Trump types who think it's cool to kill terrorists and their families as well. With advances in technology and Trump style operatives, a pilot can kill a terrorist in Syria, then aim a missile and kill a family in Egypt. Good clean kills all around and no guilty feelings for anyone. One of the main requirements for this Trump style pilot will be he/she must be a member of the NRA. Very important!

After a hard day's work 2,000 miles from the targets, pilots can go home, have dinner with their wives and children then watch the kids play Little League that night. Perfect little war, don't you think?

Naturally, with everyone having so much fun, it's just a matter of time until this technology is put to use on the home front. There is too much profit to be made. It's only a matter of time.

Just think of the ways we can reduce crime on the home front. Track down a robber with remote technology, kill him and anyone in the vicinity, then locate his wife and kids and kill them too. That will make those criminals think twice about committing crimes.

You can’t get some pansy, bleeding heart Democrat to do the job. You’re going to need hardcore Trump Republicans to wage remote war on those dirty Arabs overseas and to put those blacks on the home front in their place. Should be a lot of fun in about fifteen years, don’t you think? Let’s get the ball rolling and elect Trump. Someone needs to get this drone war started and put on the right track.

New 911 Scrutiny? People don’t matter! Profit does! Those are just the facts, madam!

Obama: Top intel official reviewing secret 9/11 material

From a story located at:

My comment:
I have been a big supporter of Obama from day one but my support does not translate into total worship, ignoring the faults our leaders demonstrate. If I were a Republican and it was proven America killed half a million innocent human beings, based on a lie, I would turn against my Republican President. I would want him to be thrown in jail. I wouldn’t keep following the murdering bastard and defending him to my last breath. If someone does something wrong, I can admit I was wrong about them.

I have seen many Presidents come and go. I have tried to support all of them the best I can. Some more than others. Overall, Obama has done a great job, considering what he was handed and what he has had to work with. As usual, I do have complaints about Obama. He’s not perfect either.

I realize it's just a pipe dream but just imagine all the things that could have been accomplished if Republicans put our country first and worked with (not against) our President and his party. Considering where the nation was when Obama took office, we have had a miraculous recovery despite the obstructionism.

This nation has a short memory. Either that or Republicans hate Democrats so much they have selectively ignored the damage Republican policies did to our nation. It’s also possible, people in our country never fully understood how close our country came to a total meltdown.

When the crash of 2008 came, Republicans, along with their President, had total control of the Executive and Legislative Branches of government for the majority of time, prior to the big financial fiasco. Bush and the Republicans executed total financial bungling, precipitating the 2008 crash.

Democrats warned of the consequences but were completely ignored by a party drunk with power. Bush and his Republican buddies, quite literally destroyed our economy. Delusions of grandeur prevented Republicans from seeing the error of their ways. Democrats, attempting to prevent the  disaster were demonized.

Yes, Democrats gained control of the Congress late in Bush’s term. However, every effort to correct the errors wrought by six years of Republican financial errors, was impeded with Republican Filibusters and threats of Executive Veto.

As we all know, Republican obstructionism started in the last two years of Bush’s administration and has continued for the entire eight years of Obama’s term of office.

Ten years of Republican sabotage has done extreme damage to our nation and it is truly a miracle we have recovered as much as we have during Obama’s time in office. One can only dream of the benefits our nation would have enjoyed if Republicans had not let hatred dominate their party. It is mind boggling to think, half the country thinks we should repeat the same errors a bunch of "know nothings" executed during the Bush years.

As to the errors of the Obama Administration, this news story is but one example regarding my disappointment with Obama. 911 occurred just one year into Bush’s Administration. Seven more years of Bush and now seven years of Obama and we are just now looking seriously at the most secret elements of the 911 investigation? Something, is seriously wrong with this picture.

One can easily summarize what this story is really saying. It is apparent, our alliance with Saudi Arabia is more important than the 3,000 lives lost on 911. It is also clear that oil and its procurement supersedes the fact, "a Declaration of War was enacted upon the United States of America". Protecting Saudi Arabia has been the central task of two full Republican and Democrat Administrations.

Through the entire length of two administrations, favoritism towards an absolute religious dictatorship and the oil they provide, became more important to the powers that be, than the innocent lives lost and the insult to our nation. I expect behavior like this from the Republicans. It’s probably another good example of how Corporate control of our government (Fascism) has manipulated the behavior of our leaders.

Corporate control of our government is the reason the truth about 911 has not been revealed.

After all, Republicans have been proving their hatred towards America for a long time and their allegiance to big oil is more important than anything else in this world. What I didn’t expect was a continuation of Republican policies by someone I considered better than any Republican in modern times.

Barack Obama, on this subject, has been very Republican.

As the 2016 election nears, many people, both Republican and Democrat, are wondering if there is any hope of salvaging a government “for the people”. The electorate doesn’t want a government favoring corporations or giving special treatment to a foreign government who may have helped declare war on the United States.

As far as Trump and Cruz go, they are incapable of salvaging our once great nation. There is little chance they will prevent our nation from being controlled by financial interests. No! Republicans, in their current state are not the answer. Bernie Sanders? Even if he were elected he would encounter more opposition than even Obama experienced. Besides, Bernie is much more of a corporate hack than even Hillary is. His position on guns is but one example.

Of all the candidates running for President, Hillary is our greatest hope. Of course, that’s what people said of Obama too and though he did a marvelous job, he let a lot of people down in some very important areas. Will Hillary do better? I think so but one never knows.

We are finally going to scrutinize secret parts of the 911 report that may implicate Saudi Arabia after all these years? It’s no wonder people are so skeptical of government these days. Let’s hope Hillary, Bernie, Ted or the Donald will do better.

Here’s where my skepticism comes in. I think the country has already been lost to the corporatists and little or no change will occur, regardless of who wins the oval office. People don’t matter! Profit does! Those are just the facts, madam!

Can you believe Americans want to torture?

EXCLUSIVE-Most Americans support torture
against terror suspects -poll

From a story located at:

My comment:
Yes, terrorists are protected under American law. The United States authored (most all of it) the Geneva Conventions. The Senate ratified the Treaty and a sitting President signed the Treaty into law. Under the constitution, Treaties are the law of the Land. Read up. You'll see that I'm right.

Just imagine this were an American soldier being tortured
After WWII, the United States hunted down, put on trial, convicted two Japanese soldiers, then executed them for Waterboarding US soldiers. Waterboarding is illegal under the treaties we signed and therefore, is a crime.

We have choices now. We can say our government was right to execute Japanese soldiers for waterboarding our prisoners during the Bataan Death March, or we can say our government committed a crime for wrongfully executing Japanese soldiers. How patriotic are you, anyway?

The President of the United States can wave a wand and nullify US treaties. It's a hole in our Constitution that needs to be fixed. That’s what George W. Bush did to keep from being prosecuted under various War Crimes Treaties we signed. You do know, under the rule of law, G.W. Bush is a War Criminal, don’t you? Hold on though! He’s a hero to some of you sick bastards.

Convenient for him. However, do we want to nullify the Geneva Conventions just so a bunch of arm chair warriors can sit around and masturbate over photos of tortured people? Haven’t you read? Torture doesn’t work. Advocating torture is rather un-American of you. Do you understand what this country stands for Mr. Trumpster and followers? Personally, I don’t want your kind running this country.

What's good for the goose is good for the gander. You people cheering for torture will need to shut up when an American soldier is tortured. That day is coming you know. When an American soldier is tortured, pro-torture freaks need to shut your mouths. You have no right to say anything. You may be responsible for US soldiers being tortured in the future.

Those of us against torture are the only ones who can protest torture of our troops. Don’t worry, the adults among us will object for you. Meantime, you little children keep playing in your sandbox and don’t get any sand in your underwear. That might hurt.
